This Cookie Policy explains how ChopsCity Express Ltd ("ChopsCity", "we", "us", or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on this website, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains more broadly how we handle your personal data.
ChopsCity Express Ltd is incorporated in the Federal Republic of Nigeria under the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), with its registered office in Lagos State, Nigeria.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let a site remember things about your visit — like whether you're signed in — and can also be used to understand how a site is used or to measure advertising. We use the term "cookies" here to also cover similar technologies like local storage.
2. The Cookie Categories We Use
We group cookies into three categories, and you choose which of the optional ones you're comfortable with via the cookie banner or the Cookie Preferences link in the site footer.
- Necessary — required for the site to function (keeping you signed in, remembering your cart). These can't be switched off, and don't require consent under applicable law.
- Analytics — help us understand how ChopsCity is used, so we can find and fix problems and improve the experience. Only set if you opt in.
- Marketing — used to measure and personalise advertising, if we ever run any. Only set if you opt in.
3. Cookies Currently in Use
We currently set one cookie on this site:
chopscity_AUTH— Necessary. Keeps you signed in across pages and lets us show you the right account-specific content. Expires after 30 days or when you sign out.
4. Third-Party Content
Some pages load Google Maps to help you search for and confirm delivery addresses. Google may set its own cookies when this loads, governed by Google's own privacy policy, not ours. This is treated as part of the "Necessary" category since address entry is core to placing an order.
5. Managing Your Preferences
You can change your cookie choices at any time via the Cookie Preferences link in the footer of this site. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though doing so may affect features like staying signed in.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as our use of cookies changes — for example, if we add analytics or advertising in the future. Material changes will prompt the cookie banner to reappear so you can make a fresh choice.
7. Contact Us
If you have questions about this Cookie Policy, reach us through the Support page on this site, or at the contact details in our Privacy Policy.
